Whadda Ya Know When it Comes to Your Parents and about Your Retirement?

How much do you really know (or want to know) about your parents? That's one of the questions independent, and Emmy nominated documentary filmmaker Doug Block asks in his new film, 51 Birch Street. Acclaimed by The New York Times, Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly, Block's film offers a first-person account of his journey through a whirlwind of dramatic, life-changing events. We'll hear some film audio excerpts as the filmmaker joins me to talk about making 51 Birch Street.

What's ahead after 40 or so years of employment? Can Boomers expect a "travel-golf-fishing-and time on the front porch existence," huge financial expenditures, or perhaps something in-between? Those are the kinds of questions attorney, academic and sandwich generation member Angela Rabatin will help answer. She'll cover "Six Key Elements to Your Perfect Retirement... Or Why Not Doing a Thing About It Doesn't Help," and offer a preview of her upcoming book, After Federal Retirement: Employment Options and Strategies.
